From June 8 to 19, 2020, 14 webinars will take place featuring global cybersecurity experts who will provide information about the latest developments and key challenges related to cybersecurity across four key topics, namely:
- methods for secure 5G deployment,
- the Cybersecurity Act;
- the new Smart Secure platform;
- enhanced cryptography.
Representatives of global telecom operators, suppliers, academia, security organizations such as ENISA or the National Cyber Security Centre, other standardization organizations such as GSMA or 3GPP, and many others will present their presentations and answer questions during these webinars.
5G deployment experts will provide clarification on how to securely switch from 4G or securely transition to a standalone architecture, and will provide recommendations to mobile operators on how to implement 5G networks. 5G security for vertical devices will concern other sectors, including campuses, factories, the healthcare sector, or connected autonomous vehicles. Other speakers will provide updated information on the evolution of 5G security, where we currently stand, current developments, and will discuss security challenges and regulatory aspects.
ENISA and the European Commission will present updated information on the Cybersecurity Act. The future European standard developed by ETSI for the security of consumer IoT devices and its certification schemes, which will help consumers make purchasing decisions, will also be presented.
Smart Secure Platform experts will explain the reasons for developing the new security platform, its requirements and impact on the ecosystem, as well as the current state of testing and the need for certification.
Cryptography plays an important role in protecting the billions of data transmitted across the planet every day. Presentations on this topic will include information on quantum-safe cryptography, the technical development of the TETRA standard with the first results of Latte performance, or fully homomorphic encryption. Industrial applications and use cases for advanced cryptography will present the practical side.
